Doors with a leaf thickness of 42mm have a fairly good thermal insulation coefficient Ud=1.7 (until 2017 this met the standards for entrance doors to houses). These doors are ideal exterior doors to rooms that do not require high temperatures to be maintained, but at the same time should not be allowed to reach very low temperatures – garages, boiler rooms, staircases, cellars or other utility rooms in the body of a residential building.
They are also ideal as internal doors, especially between heated and colder rooms (e.g. passageway from a garage, boiler room, staircase or basement to a residential area of a house).
Due to a very affordable price, these doors are also chosen by customers as the entrance door to their apartments.
UNI technical doors with a thickness of 42mm differ from 42mm doors mainly in terms of weaker hinges and locks. Their use is the same as for 42 doors, but a lower level of protection has to be taken into account.
These doors are available in a veneered version or in galvanized sheet metal which can be painted by the customer in any colour.
